It Drops the Price of the DVD201!
So I checked out the new DCR-DVD301 that Sony released to see what's with it. After a complete inspection, the only difference there is from the DVD301 to the DCR-DVD201 is one more inch on the LCD screen, which also slightly increases the bulk and weight. Very nice camera, but pricey
I bought this camera half a year ago, and love the compact size and quality of the videos. It feels good to finally start recording on discs to replace those old DV tapes. It would be easy to play the movies by simply putting the DVD into the DVD player, but mine only takes DVD+R, and this camera... Read full review »

The DCR-DVD301 Sony Camcorder is compact, light, with a large LCD, simple control functions, excellent picture quality, audio excellent (sometimes picks up back ground noise), and offers a variety of filming options, black/white, widescreen, sepia, my favorite "old" movie. Ready - Set - Action!
This camcorder is extremely easy to learn, and has many added features such as scene transitions and special effects. I took this camcorder on our trip to Hawaii and it worked wonderfully.
