The Bottom Line:
Produces good sound and has a nice clean look to it.
I know Christmas is just around the corner, but my husband and I decided to make it come a little earlier for us. We went shopping, yesterday to be exact, in search of purchasing a home theater system. We like to buy alot of DVDs and we have been looking into home theater systems for a little while now. We didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on one though. We were shopping at Wal-Mart yesterday when we ran across this RCA Home Theater System. There were a lot of other systems there, but we just needed one to make the surround sound. We didn't need the dvd player or vcr or 5 disc changer that you could get with some of the other ones. So we sampled the RCA Home Theater System. To us it sound like it had a pretty good output of sound to it. We settled on the RCA Home Theater System and brought it on home.
What we got with the system:
**1 Dolby Digital/DTS Audio Video Receiver
-300W Total System Power
-Built in Dolby Digital , DTS Decoding
-S-video connection
-Easy to connect with color coded speaker terminal
-Preset Equalizer mode
-DSP surround effects (concert, stadium, theater, church, arena, club)
-Front connection for easy hook up of A/V devices
-Digital AM/FM with 40 stations preset
**6 speakers (front, rear surround, center & subwoofer)
-1 X 50 W Powered Subwoofer
-5 X 50W speakers with high performance drivers
-Matching sound speakers for balanced and high fidelity Home Theater sound
-Compact & advanced speakers design for improved sound quality
**Accessories included in the box
-Universal Audio/Video Remote Control (batteries incld.)
-Quick Connect Guide for easy set up
-6 Speaker Cables
-AM loop
-FM antenna
-Analog Audi Cables
Included in our system we got everything that we need so we decided to go ahead and it hook it up, hoping that it would work as well as the one in the store did. It took a little while to get it all hooked up because of all of the wiring, but after all the wires were connected it was quite easy after that. The quick connect book that comes with it really helps out.
Once hooked up we stuck a DVD in a gave it a try. It worked great. There was a lot of sound coming out of it and we could hear a lot of things that you don't normally hear while just using a television. We didn't even have to turn it up very loud for the sound to actually come out loud.
We got the RCA Home Theater System for a reasonable price. It was only $168.94 at Wal-Mart. And it seems to be working great for us. It looks very nice when all set up and you will definitely be surprised by the difference it can make while watching television.
