Optical scanning resolutions of 300 dpi (photo) and 2,400 dpi (filmstrips and slides) combine with 36-bit color depth for exceptionally accurate, bright, and clear prints. The high bit depth results in precise color tones, allowing for superfine adjustments in color quality, while the high resolution keeps your images looking crisp with clean edges and rich detail. The S20xi is simple to operate and can easily handle 35mm slides, filmstrips, negatives, and photographic prints. Maximum scanning size is 5 by 7 inches with up to 12 bits per color, linear internal resolution. Setup is a snap with plug-and-play installation provided via a USB interface. Scanning time is around one minute per frame or image, while the included software bundle lets you smooth, enhance, and otherwise maximize the quality of the originals.
