The GEL-Nimbus® 12 features an improved asymmetrical lacing set-up for a superior upper fit. The shoe is suitable for gait types ranging from under pronators to mild over pronators. Upper: Biomorphic fit provides superior fit and function while decreasing the potential for irritation. Asymmetrical lacing enhances Biomorphic Fit™ by conforming to the bony architecture of the foot for an enhanced fit with less irritation. The asymmetrical lacing on the Nimbus 11 was reengineered to remove all overlays across the toe box creating a more open toe environment. P.H.F.® heel collar molds to athletes heel, creating a personalized fit. All stitching has been removed from the heel collar for a better fit with less irritation. 3M Reflective Material enhances visibility during low light hours increasing safety. Padded air mesh tongue maximizes ventilation and comfort. Independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension, creating a customized fitting environment and enchanced upper comfort. Midsole: Forefoot and rearfoot GEL cushioning systems are strategically placed to absorb shock. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) links components to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe off. Solyte™ midsole is a lighter material than both ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA® with improved cushioning and durability. A top layer of injected Solyte® provides a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. Women's models feature a lower density for improved cushioning and forefoot comfort.
